Anna Petyarre
| Anna was born c1965 and is an Anmatyerre speaker from Utopia. She is the daughter of the late Glory Ngarla, niece to the late Emily Kame Kngwarreye and sister and cousin to many of the Petyarre family artists.She began painting in the early 1980’s, when the medium of canvas and acrylic paints was introduced to the community of Utopia. A versatile and creative artist, Anna has changed her painting style radically several times over the last decade. Her work is becoming more collectable as she develops her reputation as one of Utopia’s rising talents.An award winning artist, she is represented in many galleries and collections. |
